This day…

This day has seen me cast my eyes back, further than I would have liked,

and still I don’t think it was far enough;

I did not see what I thought I could, what I thought I should,

and I certainly didn’t see what I thought I was looking for.

I will go soon, and I will be afraid, and I will fail and I will learn,

and that will be what I will take - from each day…

from this day and from all days.
